Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing. |

2004-07-18 7:26 PM Home Again Pages Written... 4
In the past ten days, I've gotten four pages written. Not my best, but not bad at all! The drive up was easy, the easiest it's ever been (probably because we weren't towing a trailer). We had a marvelous time at Mammoth Lakes. We timed it beautifully as well, as there was the 16th Jazz Jubilee festival going on from Thursday to Sunday, and Thursday afternoon was free! So we went into town and listened to music, I got a neck massage($1 a minute), and basically had fun. But the days - they were beautiful. Day after day of warm weather, rushing water, excellent meals, good fires, D&D at night (and ALL of us novices - it was pretty hysterical). The first day I ploughed through 6 slim romance novels, the next day I went through three bigger novels and finally was sated. Tom caught a total of 26 fish - we ate almost everything, but did bring home eight fish that are frozen. I can tell you, we got real tired of trout at lunch! Makes you want to die for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. By Thursday, however, I was dying for a bath and hot water. My poor hair will need lots of conditioning to recover! Sorry this entry is so choppy - I'm a bit mentally choppy, too. Packing the car was exhausting and body parts ached all the way home. Coming home was interesting, as we found out the 14 south was shut down due to the Newhall pass fire. We took Sierra Highway to Soledad Canyon, and went around it that way. Sierra Highway goes through some pretty country. But awfully dry right now... It's good to be home, heatwave and all. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
