Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing. |

2004-08-20 8:14 PM Jennless/desk heaven/Give me the Sea My dear friend Jenn is gone to Korea, leaving me behind with all my typical insecurities. *sniff* I can't believe I shall be Jennless until the first week of September, when I get to see her again. Pittsville. Can't even IM her, 'cause she's NOT THERE. Really sucks. But since she planned this trip about three years ago, and it's been postponed a couple times, it's kinda hard for me to complain.
****************************************************** Yesterday, hubby found out that his office will close down the second floor of their operation, so all the furniture up there will go away. Yesterday was our one and only chance to pick up desks for the boys that would be small enough for their rooms, yet big enough for them to take with them whenever they happen to move out. (Yeah, ri-ight.) So I made two round trips out to hubby's office, we loaded up the desks, and I had the kids help me muscle them out of the van and into the house. Fun? Ummm... Now the kids have to deep clean their rooms to make room for the desks. Me tossing their old clothes in preparation for school is mild in comparison. ****************************************************** Went to the beach today. Spent almost all afternoon there. Only a few places lacked sunscreen, most notably the top of my feet - yeah, they're bright red. Shoes hurt. But my time at the beach, finding shells with perfectly round holes in them but otherwise intact, was heaven-sent. I read two novels by Maggie Shayne (LOVE her), absorbed the vitamin D (carefully swathed in hat, towel over legs, and a long sleeved shirt after I noticed burning), and actually ventured out into the waves with the boys. It was exhilarating, renewing, joyful. It was also my first time to the beach all summer. Why don't I go more often? Sheesh! No writing today. Too busy filling the well. But tomorrow a trip to San Diego beckons, so there'll be some thought time on that trip... Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
