Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing. |

2004-11-09 5:25 PM Vampires, of a sort. Spent most of the day getting to Children's Hospital this morning, donating platelets, and driving home. Never feel too perky after one of those.
Saw LOST IN TRANSLATION while I was sitting there, arms immobile. I lost a lot of the complex nuances of the film due to the sound level not being loud enough in the headphones to work over the nurses and such during the soft parts. But it was lovely to watch, and I am looking forward to seeing it again. I saw CHOCOLAT that way as well - missed a lot of it, too! Have decided the only type of film to watch while donating platelets is the big, bombastic action/adventure/comedy - Pirates, for example, or the original Star Wars movies. Next time. Have found myself cooked out - don't know what to make, my ingenuity is gone. Will stir myself to do some sort of pasta, as I've got a ton of tomatoes and always there is dry pasta in the house. Am re-reading HOW TO COOK A WOLF by MFK Fisher, first pubbed in 1942. All about how to feed your family while keeping the wolf from the door during wartime shortages - or, in emergencies, how to cook that wolf. It's very interesting, some good recipes in there though at this point to cook from the book would be a bit depressing. I'll wait until we really need to pinch the pennies. My brain keeps coming up with new novel ideas. I keep firmly pushing them aside, but they clamor at the oddest times. Will now take half an hour and pound them all out, then go back to editing Lily. Even though I've got some critiques I really need to get to. Sigh. And the best news - soccer practices have cut back to one night a week, two hours back to back...7p to 9p being the only bad part. But hey, it's under the lights. And we'll be getting home about the same time as hubby does from school, so it'll all work well with the dinner thing. Okay. Back to work.
