Christine's New Chapter

I found out that hubby's aunt, whom we spent most of our time with in AZ, fell and broke her hip last night. She managed to get to a chair but couldn't make herself move to get to a phone. My in-laws found her this morning - they had to break down the door to get to her.

She's in shock, of course, but she'll need surgery and won't be able to smoke her beloved cigarettes in the hospital. She's 87, a tiny thing. This can't be good news, any way you look at it.

But we got to spend three and a half days with her. We took her out to eat every day (which never happens), we got her into a bookstore (which also never happens) and we took her grocery shopping. Lots of activity, and we were all together. Plus, she got to see her sister in the nursing home, twice. So looking back, there are plenty of blessings.

I just wish she hadn't fallen.

Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.
