During the afternoon, when the sun actually came out briefly, I pulled on a sweatshirt over my turtleneck and went out and planted more onion sets. Yellow, this time. The red onions are coming up beautifully - they're two months or more along now. So we should have onions all summer long, if I remember to water. Not that that's an issue right at this point...

Got the Honda into the mechanic, he replaced all four brake systems and all is good now. Only $240, not too shabby!

Got some writing done, and the aforementioned planting. Am now being domestic and there's a meatloaf in the oven. I'm finding about 80% of my recipes now online - it's so easy. It also makes having chucked 60 cookbooks more palatable.

Haven't made it to the gym yet this week, and won't until Friday - the Vampires called and they need platelets urgently right now, so I'm going in to Children's Hospital on Thursday to donate (though they begged me to go on Wednesday, I said NO WAY because, you know, that's Jenn Day).

Once again, I urge all you healthy folks with great veins in your arms to pony up your platelets. And if, when you get there, you aren't a candidate for platelet donation, at least let them take a pint of your blood - I'm sure there'll be a shortage of blood right about now, as well.
