Christine's New Chapter

I worked this morning, did some critting, got some work emails out of the way for the RWA chaps I belong to, etc. etc.

Then I plugged in Diablo II, and I lost the rest of the day. Didn't do laundry, didn't clean the kitchen, didn't start pruning the roses, didn't do a million and one things that I normally do on a Monday morning. And afternoon.

I finished Act 1 and the first quest of Act 2, though, all by my lonesome, and that's the first time THAT'S ever happened.

Gaming good.

In other news, had a friend who reads a lot in the category line I'm aiming for with this one book take a look at my first three chapters of Evie.

She gave me a great crit, based on what she knows the editors of this house like/don't like/won't touch with a 30 foot pole. Yeah, I've got some work to do!

She also said that she couldn't stop reading, even though her back was killing her; that its a lot better than most of the stuff she's read lately; and if HQ/SIL doesn't want this book, I should shop it until it sells. I seriously impressed her, she said.

Now, I know it's kinda like impressing your neighbor, but damn if it didn't make me feel good. I'll work on her notes tomorrow (no, it's not a lot - just MINOR tweaks) and then get right to the good stuff - new pages.

But I'm gonna beam for the rest of the evening, if it's okay with everyone else.

Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.
