Christine's New Chapter
Never look down...

DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.

Game Over

Pages Written... total of 8

Well, we lost this morning, in penalty kick phase. The score was tied, 2-2 (due, again, to a bad call that gave the other team a penalty kick against us). We went down to the wire, though, in penalty kicks (each team gets 5 kicks, alternating) - eldest son plunked the last kick in to tie the game again. But they still had their last man, and he popped it in the goal, so - game over.

Did they deserve to win over us? Or, rather, did we deserve to win over them? Neither, or both, perhaps. They were well-matched teams. I didn't like them on principal - their parents were snooty. (Things like that are important in soccer, lol.) One of the parents of the other side actually got tossed off the field for swearing at our kids. B*st*rd.

But my kid came through in the clutch. He did his absolute best, had a great time, and in the end was glad to go home and rest his knee. He's even trying to figure out how to get out of his P.E. final tomorrow, lol. So, soccer 2004 is over. Whew.

In other news, hubby and I went as clowns last night to a celebration of a wedding that happened before christmas on foreign soil - some island somewhere. The invitation read, come dressed in the hideous bridesmaids gowns, come dressed as best man or bride/groom, be as silly as you please. So hubby and I went dressed up as clowns.

It's amazing how people look at you differently, open up to you, talk to you when you're wearing clown makeup. I was accosted by women who, had I gone dressed up, would not have even looked at me much less talked to me. Hubby had the same thing happen to him. Very interesting. Very bizarre.

And a very beautiful house. Up on Benedict Canyon. It was hers, and he, lucky fella, got to move in when they decided to marry. I'm so glad since he's one of the good ones who rattle around the world and never seem to find a good woman. He finally has.

Am making foccacia - garlic is on the air as the bread bakes. This time, not in the bread machine! I really must get those breads made that I promised, too...now that it's not wet out and the chives are easily accessible.

Foccacia, rotisserie chicken, roasted potatoes and fresh green salad out of the garden. Hungry, anyone?
