I'm gearing up for agent/editor signups at RWA National this summer - the signups open either tonight or tomorrow morning. Supposed to be tomorrow morning, but last year I got in the night before. We'll see.

Curiously, I'm not keen this year on pitching (though I will, because that's the opportunity) - stuff I really want to pitch hasn't been written yet, and the stuff that's been written has either been around the block already or hasn't made it to the editors yet. But I've got the two HQ editors on my list - if they are full, then I'll switch to Kensington and pitch Lily. If THEY're full, it's on to NAL - and pitching something I haven't written yet, but will have mostly done by July. Honest. I'm kinda hoping I get NAL - we'll see.

Agents, I'm throwing my hands up in the air. Not all take category writers (and I'm not sure I want them for category sales). I'll work on the Editor list first; then see what happens. Four agents - that's a lot. Funnily enough, the agent I met with last year (who really wanted to be a screenwriter in Hollywood - ugh) isn't on this year's list. Hmmm. Seems I made a good choice to not send anything to her. Wasted postage, you know.

Well, we have elder son's game this afternoon, and then we're off to the Galaxy game. Home again by 8 I'm hoping.
