Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing. |

2005-05-22 4:57 PM The Sea Currently Reading... The Island of the Day Before, by Umberto Eco
Exercise Done... Walked on beach We got to Rincon at ten this morning, a gorgeous day. The sea was slowly receding, having left lovely presents of driftwood. Lots and lots of driftwood of all sizes and types. Even bamboo. Hubby and I held hands and walked along the shore, dodging driftwood, surprised at how cold the water was. We don't usually hit the beach in May, but this has been an exceedingly hot weekend. And I found a perfect shell for a friend in New York going through a hard time. Must find the time to mail it to her. The kids boogie boarded a tiny bit before hitting the sand to make castles. We read, listened to the waves, and noted the absence of seagulls. Finally, I braved the water, needing the surge of the sea against my body. I dunked down to chest high - the cold took my breath away. I spent the rest of my time in the water literally gasping for air, as my lungs had seized just enough to make breathing difficult. There was no way I could get my head wet. I waded back to shore and lay down in the sun, gasping, until my lungs warmed up. More reading, munching on some goldfish and strawberries and catching my breath. Warming up. Hubby and elder son took a nice long walk. Friends stopped by on their bike ride to say hi, always an unexpected treat to see people you know at the beach. The sun crept overhead and the beach filled up. It was time to go. As we packed up the car, a wind sprang up and the waves got bigger and elder son remembered to grab his tennis shoes from the sand. Life is sweet. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
