Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing. |

2005-07-13 9:26 PM A beginning Pages Written... 7.5 plus character work
Listening to... my ceiling fan Exercise Done... sweating. lots of sweating. It's hot here. That said, before it got hot, I managed to write 3.5 pages before I had to run off for a meeting with the Prez of LARA in Valencia (that ended up taking half a tank of gas, because I had to run the a/c darn it). We had a good meeting - though I turned it into my own little angsty writer's blab, as it's been so long since I've had another writer to talk to face to face! (Missing Jenn *Big Time* here.) Got home and had to take young son to clarinet lesson, which went well. I stayed cool wandering around a Smart & Final just for kicks (my life is so sad). Bought a pork loin to toss into the crock pot, and some chocolate syrup. By the time we were on our way home, I was SO HOT I thought I was going to explode. What on EARTH made me wear jeans today? Stupid! But me, thinking ahead, grabbed at the pork loin and a) laid it on my fevered brow, before realizing it looked a little weird to be driving with a pork loin on my brow. So, not wanting to be pulled over at all, I put it under my hair, on the back of my neck, and managed to keep somewhat cool for the ten tediously excrutiatingly long minutes it took to get us home. Whereupon I threw the pork loin into the crockpot and got myself into a cold shower before I exploded. Have I mentioned I don't have air conditioning in my home? I'm thinking I'll get up an hour early tomorrow and get the bulk of my writing done. Either that, or I hit Borders and the new Seattle's Best Cafe in there for the duration. Outside it got up to 99 degrees F; inside, we managed to keep it below 80 for most of the day. Reno may be hot, but at least I'll be inside, in air conditioning, the entire time. Lord help the hotel though if the a/c goes out. 2,000 bitchy, hot women in one hotel is not a pretty thought. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
