Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing. |

2005-07-20 8:59 PM Five Days Left Pages Written... Yesterday, 8 Today, 8
First let me say, it's hot. Humid-hot, as in we should be having a thunderstorm any minute now. The past couple of days I've been able to escape to a bookstore to write, managed 8 pages both times and yay, it doesn't suck. But there's no way with this heat wave that I'll be able to get 100 more pages done in 5 days. Just no way. Yeah, I leave for Reno in 5 days. If I call and double check my plane reservation, that is. Grumble grumble. Oh, and the dry cleaner lost one of my shirts. Not my favorite or most important, but still, lost. Grumble some more. Phoenix/Scottsdale area has gotten record heat as well -not dropping below 90 degrees at night. I remember in summer in that area in the 1980s when it would be 115 in the day and routinely drop to 75 at night. Quite a nice breather...but sand doesn't hold heat the way rock does, and the city is bigger now than it was 20 years ago. Tis a pity there's so much overbuilding in the desert, and I'm awfully glad there's no easy way for me to stay there any more. With the loss of my MIL's house, we have no comfortable welcome without putting other relatives out. Good and bad, I suppose. I must shower and get the sweat off me. I have fond memories of actually shivering in the air conditioning this afternoon at the bookstore... Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
