Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing. |

2005-07-24 5:52 PM Haircuts and booksignings and procrastination Last night, after a tasty dinner and a long cool shower, I actually let (begged) my 14 y/o son to cut my hair. With much trepidation, he did...shorter than I had originally asked, but within realm of decency. Straight across, a little above the nape of my neck.
Well. Turns out hubby likes it (and he doesn't, as a rule, like short hair), I got a ton of compliments at the LARA meeting today, and one woman asked me in all seriousness who did my hair! (Cut by son, color by moi and L'oreal.) It was fun stuff. The meeting went well, all told. Learned a lot about writing romantic comedy from Steve Kaplan. In a very brief nutshell, he put the difference between comedy and drama this way. "Drama helps us dream what we can be. Comedy helps us live with who we are." I'm not going more into it here because I'm exhausted having just shaved my cocker spaniel, Silly. Now I have to run and make some sort of quick pasta dish for dinner at the nurses' house. The afternoon was taken up with first waiting for, then listening to, Suzanne Brockmann give a Q&A before signing books. She's wonderful, so inspirational, a lovely person and I wanted to listen. Besides, she writes Seal Team books, and my dad did, too - so I had a couple books to give her. She was quite touched, and pleased, so it's all good. Now to sip some champagne and think about dinner, and procrastinate a bit more on the pitch-writing. Tomorrow will be a frenzy, I fear.
