Ran out of the house into a warm, wet morning. Rain! Lovely. Big fat drops, the ground is soaked. It's been raining since about 3am. Warm. Cloudy and warm and rain. What's better?

Well, I ran out of the house without shoes and still in jammy pants and a ripped tee shirt to take the kidlings to school. I get to our friend's house to pick up her boy, and blam! during my u-turn I hit the curb - I guess with some force, lol - and blow the front right tire out.

Oops.

So my friend took the kids to school, I called hubby, then AAA, and now the spare is on. But I'll be spending most of my morning at Costco...not the way I wanted the day to go, but as I'd been putting off getting new tires anyway, I've kinda got the feeling I'm extremely lucky it happened in a quiet neighborhood, in front of a friend's house (she offered me shelter, her phone, and coffee - all excellent things at 7:30am on a rainy Tuesday), and no one was hurt.

I'll spend the $400 to get new tires today, and spend it gladly.

In other news, I've pledged to do 5 pages a day this week. And I'm already 5 pages behind. Maybe my time at Costco will be spent with the Alpha, typing away...
