Christine's New Chapter

We shot our first scene this weekend, with the guy that I'm SO comfortable with it seemed like a piece of cake. I mean, we improvised for about 25 minutes, while watching The Seventh Seal by Ingmar Bergman (mitout sound) and eating popcorn. Terrific fun, great fun!

Until I watched myself on camera. All I can say is, everyone who wants a true reality check should watch themselves on camera. All of a sudden, I don't feel 17 anymore - hell, I don't feel 28 anymore. I feel every year of my 45 years, if not a few more, and that truly sucks.

But it made me think. All the women on TV are beautiful. Even the ugly ones look beautiful. Even the OLD ones look gorgeous! Have you noticed? Not ONE doesn't have perfect skin, a chin, great hair. They ALL look wonderful.

No *wonder* American women are going through a crisis. We can't compete with what's on the huge, widescreen TV that adds ten pounds (or more, perhaps) to everyone. (To paraphrase a comedienne, they can send a man to the moon, they can create iPods, they can do heart transplants, but they can't do anything about that extra ten pounds the camera puts on you! What's up with THAT?!!)

So anyway, I don't know if I'll have the courage to go through with the video idea. But I do know it'll make a helluva book.

Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.
