A wave
wetting your toes on a
Tuesday
morning, instead of wearing
heels and
a skirt at work.

A child's
tight hug,
when that boy-child
is
almost sixteen.

Love
in the eyes of the man
you've spent your
youth
with, and now you
stand together,
facing
the long sunset
on the beach
with champagne
as a wave wets
your
toes
on a Tuesday
evening.

That's sanity.
