Well, it happened on Saturday. I've officially become the Visual Lead at my store. Which means, basically, the way the store looks is my responsibility.

Interesting.

They didn't want to promote me, but after watching me work they had no doubts about whether I could do the job, so they did...and gave me a hefty raise in salary, to boot. (They, in this case, is made up of my district manager, the district Visual manager, plus my own manager.)

So these late night sessions at work are now my responsibility, the folks who come in will work under me. Which is what happened tonight. So far, everyone seems very supportive...we'll see how it plays out.

Luckily, I'll also get some training - which they didn't give the original Visual Lead back in October. Plus, they didn't give her enough time to get the work done. So it will be interesting to see how they handle me - and if I'll bark loud enough to get the time I need. (Yeah, I will. *vbg*)

Tired now, and hungry. Will make myself a small snackie and head off to bed...
