the new job, that is. I'm doing fine, but feel wiped out almost all the time. On my feet 8 hours a day, 5 days a week...ouch! Plus the learning curve is enough to make my brain hurt. Tonight went to midnight, and I need to be back at the store by 7:30 tomorrow...markdowns and sale. All good, but...ouch.

Not to mention, no weekends to speak of. Last weekend I humped up to Santa Barbara both days, to be there by 7am so my eldest could play soccer. On Sunday my motherly devotion paid off...I got to see him score his second goal this season. And a beautiful one it was, too! Jumble of people in front of him, the ball shoots out to where he is, and he kicks it high - it slides in right under the crossbar and down the back of the net. The keeper didn't have a chance. I'm so proud!

This weekend, while there's a tournament in San Juan Capistrano, I think I'll miss it. There's a chance of a Lulu's gathering on Saturday night, and then there's the sleeping in part that sounds delish...

The clock ticks toward one. I must abed because 6:30 comes all too early.
