Exercise Done... lots o' hiking
Currently Reading... uh...

Too many stars, but in a good way. Too much reading, also in a good way, which I'll talk about later. Lots o' hiking - Devil's Postpile, Rainbow Falls, Lake George, Lake Mamie, Crystal Crag...wonderful fun time had by all, even when cursing the elevation as we hiked. Lovely naps in the hammock. Lively games of Boggle and Scrabble (SCORE!!!). Terrific meals.

And more hiking done this trip than all the others combined. Huh.

I'm still conscious of my hands - how unclean they are. Camping for more than a couple of days, you become unaware of the cleanliness of your hands as you prepare food, uncaring of the dirt beneath your nails because it's there from firewood gathering, or fire starting, or making your way down a dusty trail. So now, I wash and I wash. I'm over-hyper about being clean now that I'm back in "society".

My dear brother, who came camping with us, passed to me a BRAND NEW APPLE G4. A dream of a computer that he also put OpenOffice on, so I won't have to buy any software. Brother also came with Significant Other, who was a delight and so much fun to be with! It has been determined that this joint camping adventure should continue in years to come, which is a joy!

While on vacation and because of the new G4, I wrote 10 pages on the novel Dayle wants to read the rest of. Because of the G4 and more, because of Dayle, I might actually finish this novel. Sometimes it's not the constructive criticism that makes you better. Sometimes it's merely (!) the unwavering support of folks saying, "This Is Good! Write More!"

So I am. Writing more, I mean. And This Is Good. How I shall integrate it into my work life is another matter.

Thank the Gods for soccer practice, and a good uninterrupted two hours of writing time...which starts tomorrow...
