Christine's New Chapter

On Friday, eldest son celebrated his 16th birthday by having six friends over for a LAN sleepover party. Three extra computers were brought over and set up in the dining room, plus mine in the laundry room. While hubby did all this, the boys were in the living room playing some dice game from Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest. Lots of howling fun was had!

They played Warcraft 3, Halo, Quake, and a smattering of other games. They arrived while hubby and I were still at work, and didn't leave until 5pm the next day. Magic cards were brought out, Risk was fiddled with, but the computers (and chocolate birthday cake) ruled the day.

The best part? Intelligence shimmered in every kid's eyes. They were all ultra polite when talked with, as well as being howling monkeys while playing. They were all terrific kids, and can take over my dining room any time.

What I learned: Folks new to something are no longer called "newbies". They're called "nubes". My, how slang changes in just a few years...

Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.
