Time does fly. I've been to RWA National Conference and came away with three requests for two of my novels. I had a fabulous time in San Francisco with my pals Dayle Phaedra and Teresa, and was able to relax from the stress of my day job. They are the only other three women I can imagine sharing a two bed hotel room with for a week. Mwwaaahhh!

Writing has come easy this week. So has sleep. And I'm not waking up with back issues. Hmmm. Could it be because I spent a week as I really am, and not as I pretend to be for the paycheck? Nah....

Off tomorrow to Mammoth Lakes, for 9 days of camping. Family comes out on Monday, and again on Friday - so that will be good. Just to - as my dad put it last year - see the tall trees. That will be so good. To feel the chill in the air and need that morning fire. To wade in the creek and get the feet soaking, and freezing, in the heat of the day. To write when I'm not doing anything else.

I pine for it (no pun intended). And tomorrow I'll be there. Dad won't make it this year, but I have the pictures from last year. I will hold those in my heart forever.

I keep forgetting how blessed I am.
