It's raining. Has been, on and off, for a couple days now. Lovely...my broccoli and my cabbage is growing well, and the rain is just a bonus. Plus it makes for a good excuse to have a fire.

We bought a car yesterday - a Honda Fit, here locally. LOVE the car - hated the process. We had our financing done, we were ready to roll - and the stupid sales manager tries to stick us with a couple stupid fees and an extended warranty.

I finally sighed, took the contract, and told him exactly what I would pay for, and not a penny more. After some more lecturing, he shrugged and redid the paperwork.

We were so close to walking, I swear. One of the good things about being almost fifty - it's a lot easier for me to stand up for what I want.

And now, whenever one of the kids decides it's time for them to learn to drive, we'll have an extra car for them to drive. I get the subaru, Tom gets the fit, and the boys will share the accord.

Seems fair.
