The last few weeks have been all about the garden. I've planted red onion sets, yellow zucchini (can't find green to save my life), tomatoes, garlic chives, pole beans, bush beans, and still need to plant more tomatoes, red leaf lettuce, mint, parsley (both kinds), and gosh there's something else but I can't remember.

Oh yeah - Thai Basil. A gorgeous plant that, once established, lives forever. Really!

I've been harvesting, too - my cabbage is ready, and I'm having a hard time waiting to pick them before St. Paddy's day. I've also harvested some green onions (bunching onions, they call them). The citrus trees all have blossoms/fruit - here's hoping they'll set and the winds won't blow the fruit away.

The weeding has been extensive, and there's more to do - but oh, what a joy it has been to get dirty, sweaty, and tired and to feel how the soil beneath my fingers has changed in just the short amount of time I've been working it.
