I have nothing to be ashamed of as far as wordcount goes for this month - 72K ain't bad, any which way you look at it. That it's spread out over two new books just totally rocks.

I picked another bunch of green beans for dinner tonight. And some tiny zucchini - maybe if I pick them small enough, we'll have enough zucchini to last all summer.

I've got more tomatoes growing now than ever. And lots of the plants are bearing fruit, even better! Now it's just a waiting game as they ripen.

The corn is almost as tall as I am. We've had marine-layer days here, not the sunshine the veggies really need but that just means the harvest will last longer. Crossing fingers.

And so May ends, and we're into June tomorrow. One kid's out of school, the other will be in two weeks.

Time is slipping through my fingers, and no matter how many words I write, it never seems enough...
