My garden is coming along. The corn is taller than I am now, the tomatoes are getting fat but still green, I'm on my third pick of green beans.

Zucchini keep growing if you keep picking them. I'm on my fifth pick of those. Red onions are good, but can go longer - I've got six or seven more in the garden. The basil is growing great guns, as are the new artichoke plants but I know I won't see any fruit until next year.

Boysenberries are all over, to the lime tree's dismay. I need to get out there and hack away at the morning glory before it kills my two orange trees.

One of these days, my orange trees will actually produce oranges. One of these days.

In other news, I've hopped onto Jillian Michaels' diet plan. In order for me to lose weight, I need to up my exercise and cut calories. 1200 a day. Ulp.

I'm not managing to be strict with the diet yet, but I'm doing so well that I can't complain. And I'm using her workouts, too, the ones that come free which is peachy.

By the end of summer, hopefully I'll have lost the weight that just won't go away.
