I printed out one of my manuscripts today, so I could edit it away from the computer.

I got goosebumps holding it in my hand. Even at 10 point, it's a hefty 200+ pages. And it's mine. All mine.

Yes, it's flawed, and at 78K it's too short for today's market, so there's work to be done, but over all that is the thrill of holding it. That part just doesn't get old.

One of these days, I'll be holding my work, and it'll be a properly published book, not half a ream of paper printed on both sides.
