I'm going to the doctor tomorrow to be sure (yes, on a Sunday - isn't that fantastic?!!), but after almost three weeks of gut-wrenching, lose-my-dinner type of coughing (only twice a day, and not every day, but...) I'm pretty sure I've got what's commonly called "walking" pneumonia. I realized it yesterday when I slept for ten hours and still didn't feel rested. Now that I think about it, I slept for almost that long today and I don't feel rested. Hmmm.

Not to mention the fact that hubby almost took me to emergency after a half-hour cough-fest that left me unable to breathe late last night.

I start a new job on Monday. That's the other reason I'm going to the doctor. I'm hoping he can give me whatever meds necessary that'll have me perking up and ready to meet the new challenges of next week.

So this flu season, folks, if you get sick, AND your small cold turns into a cough that lasts longer than four days, do yourself a favor. GO SEE A DOCTOR.

Only YOU can prevent yourself from developing pneumonia.

Sigh.
