Christine's New Chapter

So, seven years after my first attempt at the Golden Heart contest (RWANational.org - look for Golden Heart), I'm trying again. My writing is better, my timing is not...it still cost me $70 to get it there before the deadline Wednesday.

Hubby said to work faster next time. Sigh.

I'm hoping to final. I don't really care if I win. If I final, that's the top 10% of all entrants. From what other finalists have said, from notification (in late March) to the awards ceremony itself (July), it's a whirlwind of invitations from editors and agents to submit. It's akin to being Cinderella for almost four months.

When I add in the fact that two people that I know have SOLD while being a Golden Heart finalist (one actually won her category, the other didn't), well. It turns that $70 into a lottery ticket that depends on my talent.

I can handle those odds. Now I just need to figure out my website...sigh.

Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.
