Hubby and I got up early (after a late night because of younger son's First Ever Winter Formal - a later post) to take the oldest car in for smogging. Since we were up and awake more or less, we then headed downtown to The Pantry for breakfast (waited 20 minutes in line). Great little dive, but I think I prefer Rae's Diner in Santa Monica/Venice area. Food's better there, too.

But I digress.

We ate a HUGE breakfast because then we drove to Chinatown and spent the next three hours walking around, shopping, taking photos, and generally having a blast. By the time we got back to the car, the lot we'd parked in was packed and cars had to be moved in order for us to leave.

It was so nice to get into the car and sit! Grey clouds had moved in, as well, taking all the interesting shadows from the day; and as the car won't be ready until Monday, we decided to head home.

I took a solid hour nap, then got up to look at my pictures. I'm pretty happy with a couple of them. I don't have a clue as to what to do with them, so they sit in my camera and wait for me to be inspired.

And one of these days, I'll actually learn what all the interesting buttons on my camera are for.
