After spending a day envying my Dad's garden in San Diego yesterday, I made off with some of his gorgeous Meyer lemons (can you say YUM! ?) and some baby pea plants, as well as some seed.

So today I got out all my seeds. I now have a nursery going! lots of pole beans (24 i think), 18 cantaloupe, 12 more peas, 24 buttercup squash; and more to plant tomorrow. If everything grows, my neighbors will be getting plants, lol! Of course, nothing is current. We'll see what actually grows. Keep your fingers crossed!

I also have beet seeds that need planting. If I can grow my own beets, then that makes it easier on the wallet (love fresh beet juice mixed with carrot and apple juice. If you don't have a juicer, hey - it's not my fault!). The apple tree is coming along nicely, so that part of the plan is working. Carrots, however, will continue to be bought at the grocery store...

In other news, the writing is going quite well. I'm about 2/3rds of the way through the rewrite. Yay!
