Finally, after years of saying we're going to paint the house, we've shopped the job out and it'll be done before the end of July.

This is HUGE. We've lived here for 15 years, and it's needed paint for at least that long - now finally getting a chance to have professionals come out and paint is so gratifying.

The body of the house will be a creamy white (a bit on the yellow side), while the trim will be a nice deep navy blue.

We really wanted to paint the house ourselves, saving the money. But you know what? It's gonna get done if we pay someone else to do it. Fifteen years of good intentions prove that, at the very least, sometimes it's good to throw money at someone to get things done rather than procrastinating doing it yourself.
