Spent from last Friday to yesterday not worrying about anything except the workshop I took up in Big Sur (fabulous!), camping for two days afterwards (rainy, gorgeous!), and hitting up my two favorite wineries on the way home. All in all a very satisfactory few days with the hubby.

Yesterday, my first full day back, I spoke with my editor and did some emergency edits on my first three chapters. Now I'm waiting for the last edits to come through which, hopefully, will happen soon.

I've got to get back to hitting Twitter a few times a day, and I need to get in gear on the second book in the contract. Taking another day off writing tomorrow to go see my dad - he's sure everything is fine now that his caregiver knows that he knows she was doing drugs. But - she didn't go to rehab. My bet is she's still using and he just won't see it.

So I'm going there tomorrow with my eldest son in tow to scope things out and to remind Dad that we do love him and are concerned. And I'm not going to spend a minute with her alone because she twists my words to him. I can't have that happening.

Boy, what a fun day tomorrow should be...sigh...
