The title is misleading. I had doctor's appointment yesterday. My blood pressure dropped while I was using sample medication but not as much as he would like. So now a script for same med but higher dosage. Then we talked about my headaches and palpitations that I feel almost daily. A second prescription and referral to cardiologist to rule out any real problem. Since I am overweight and I have never had a stress test he wants to make sure all is really as good as my body allows. He also wants me to stay out of the heat. We have been having extremely high humidity with 90+ temps. SO will get scripts filled today.

After having a nice supper and conversation and joint TV watching, things went down hill. Nothing was on TV that we wanted to see, and I suggested putting in the DVD of Neil Diamond's 2008 NYC concert. SO had bought it for me on Sunday after we saw a 1 hour special. Apparently he really didn't want to watch it and instead of telling me that he 'suffered' through it-I stopped it after an hour. His attitude really dampened my enjoyment. At least he could have told me that he wasn't into watching it. Oh well, another DVD to watch only when he isn't around.

I am trying for a new detail at work. This would be a temporary 60/90/120 day assingment but would get me known to people upstairs as me not just my husband's wife. That is the trouble with working in the same govrnm'nt office/agency. Even though I have more time with the agency, his job is higher profile. I joined him here, he didn't join me. And powers that be sometimes don't look at all the facts before denying assignments. My SO was told that someone didn't want me to be on the same floor as him. What are they afraid of? Inappropriate behavior? Oh it does happen within the agency but sheesh, usually among newly dating couples. We have been together 30 years.

Tonight while supper is cooking, I will be reorganizing my crochet corner. I have my meeting Thursday, and I want to be able to bring the afghan that I am making for my DD. It is not a scarf & hat set, but I am bringing 2 of those. This is an entrelac crochet in gray and black stripes. The entrelac crochet makes diamond shapes. It is pretty and time consuming and warm. I then need to make my DS a black, white and red afghan-squares with a lot of holes-black and white with red borders and joins. I remember making him a black, white and red granny ripple when he was in high school. His favorite colors still. Then I have a blue/brown sofa throw to make for DD. I have been promising her one for several years, but matching the blue has been hard. She does not want the turquoise shade that comes with the multi color yarn. But a light blue that is deeper in tone than the light blue red heart issues. OH boy, I have been going crazy with that one.

Time to get to work, have lots to do and a meeting this morning.
