2009-09-01 6:31 AM Tuesday, Tuesday good morning!! I actually am feeling good this morning. NO PAIN is such a great way to feel.
Yesterday after work, SO met me at the corner and we tried the new mexican place that is close to work. Not bad, 2 tacos-soft shelled and 2 HUGE burritos came to $20. We brought them home to eat, although my first idea was to have a picnic in the little park that is right across the street. Good thing we came home. The burritos were too big to eat without a fork. Mine was spicer than I liked so I traded with SO. We added sour cream and he added salsa to his (mango/pinapple salsa-really good but can be spicier to me). We were full. No ground meat. No running to the bathroom. Definately a go back to. Good meats, good service. Now to try something unknown from the menu like a 'torta'. That little expedition set the tone for the whole evening. Quiet, peaceful and calm. No outbursts. SO even let me wrap his legs. He had to adjust the wrap a little, but he kept them on all night. Once he fell asleep, he was down for the night-not restless. Yesterday at work, my boss told me unofficially that I got the detail with temporary promotion. Hopefully I do well enough in the job that when they open it up, I qualify and get it. It has promotion potential. Only problem is that this month and December is the month my division covers the front office secretary position. And this year the division secretary and above have "CPE"-continuing professional education. That will leave 1 secretary here to cover the division and the front office. Oh well, not my problem. They didn't hire a secretary when they had a choice and the other 'secretary' isn't trusted enough to sit where you can 'overhear' things that cannot be spread about. Doesn't make sense to me to have someone that cannot to the whole job, but I think that the division was stuck with her so some sort of politcal compromise happened. (if anyone tells you that there are no office politics in government employment-not politcal appointees but regular workers, don't believe them) Anyway, hopefully, I will get the official word today. I will be working diligently to get all that I can get done done. This morning is cool. 61F. Fall weather. Time to crochet something to wear in the mornings that is warm but not too warm. I found a picture of what I would like to do, it is called a shawlagan. Short back and long front, sleeves and wrap around. Will work good for bus etc. Also found a sweater that I like only I will make it longer. and drop off the cowl neck (I think). Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
