2009-09-16 6:38 AM Lots to do Part of the challenge of accepting a 'detail' to another job, is making sure I wrap up any loose ends here. September is end of fiscal year and all supply money needs to be spent or turned back in. I handle the spending for two groups. I did real well. One group, only need to turn back in $0.50; my group $1.06-if my manager approve my shopping list. I hope he does soon since some of those supplies are needed for our 'town hall meeting' that we are having next week. I have never worked so hard to spend money in my life. I also need to get this ordered and reconciled before 9/30 and my detail starts 9/28. I do not know if they will be moving my computer to a new desk. I hope so, since all the programs I use normally are on it. The other challenge I have is to still work special projects that have been assigned to me. I am excited about this, because, if it works out, I may have a lead to a job that is more related to my government experience. Challenges ahead.
Yesterday's post I talked about writing. I have been thinking that I have been delaying writing at home. I do not know why-though I have my ideas. The main one deals with the laptop and where it is located. I have told my husband that I need to write but haven't taken steps to do what needs to be done to set up a writing area. Since we only have 1 computer at home, and he played quite a few games on it and used it more than I do, I felt guilty for taking away his "hobby". Now that he has his play station, and is spending LOTS of time on it, the guilt is gone. Thanks for listening. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
