2009-10-19 6:27 AM lots to do Not sure how much I will be posting the next few months. I have spoken to my new manager. I believe my detail will be lasting 120 days or until they are not satisfied with my work-whichever comes first. (I hope its the 120 days.) Since I tend to post at work because of computer issues, you all may not here from me, but we will see. I have pretty busy week. I will be visiting my new manager either tomorrow or Wednesday to fill out paperwork to get building access and get a look see at where I will be working. I need to clear up my desk and put together a file that can be given to a substitute (if they decide to get one).
I alse need to help cover the directors desk part time. Although I may beg out on Friday-my last day here. Especially if I have to really pack up my desk!! On the home front, I had a busy weekend. Went to a new Wal-mart with a crochet friend Pat. She has had cancer, is a member of church and had insisted that she couldn't crochet. She has made an afghan for her daughter, numerous scarves, and enjoys it now. She uses mainly double crochet but has a ball. She lives in her daughter & son in laws house-in the basement. She is lonely. I do know that if my daughter & s-il treated me the same way, words would be exchanged. However, she is in limited funds, and feels as if she would be homeless. so I give willing ear and friendship. but we had a blast at walmart, looking for a place to have lunch and just talking. She's 12 years older than I and offers views that I need sometimes. When I got home, SO was in bed- he is still fighting off the flu. I had picked up some clam chowder and made that. We had cold rainy weather so it was welcome. Yesterday, I did laundry, and lots of dishes and finally cleaned the stove. Still didn't do the cleaning I wanted to, but got something done. Tonight, dishes will get done and trash out before tv. Priorities have been set. I did get some crocheting done. But I don't like how it is coming out. I found a pattern for a "butterfly shawl" but it seems as if it gets long but not wide enough. I need to work on it. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
