2010-02-03 7:27 AM Wednesday, alone in office It snowed last night, not as much as predicted-but it was a nice wet snow. Right now the roads are wet, but not icy, at least not in DC proper. Some of outlying areas have problems. My boss is working from home, as are quite a few people.
The snow is going to be pretty once the sun hits it. It will melt quickly. We are expecting more snow on Friday night/Saturday day. And then more on Tuesday. I ended up having to make a trip for my division chief yesterday to one of our satelite offices. A trip there and back takes 1 1/2 hours, in the middle of the day by metro rail. Coming back my whole body felt like it could collaps. My legs and arms felt real heavy. I have noticed a heavy feeling in my legs on occaision when I first start walking in the office or when I leave in the morning. Usually a couple of real deep breaths seems to help. I don't have any chest heaviness or pounding heart feeliing-just heavy limbs. Usually it goes away after awhile. Yesterday it didn't-once I got to the building I needed to, it was a long walk to the office to pick up what was needed. When I got home last night at 4:30 I hit the bed and ended up sleeping until 6:30 or so. I woke up coughing, and didn't stop until I took some Dayquil. So maybe its just a cold. I have the sniffles this morning-took more DAyquil-but still have that heavy feeling. Hubby has really gotten into the furniture design for our new apartment. We want to see the chair and ottoman for him before we make any purchases though. I convinced him that we don't have to have "wall to wall" area rugs in the living area. That will allow the wood area to show through and allow us to keep the walls white with good colored furniture and pictures. He has never gotten into the design like this. He was asking me why he was so much into it-and I told him, "This is home now." He laughed. With the snow predictions, we won't be able to go to the stores, but it is good to go online and look and get good ideas! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
