Senor or not

On my last post I complained a bit about treatment by my co-workers and their lack of respect. Maybe I should clarify somewhat. As long as I remember my place and don't show that I know more than they do about a topic dealing with my government agency, I am fine. If I show that I know more than they do-then the attitude comes out. After all, I am only a grade 7, they are 11-13s and that means EVERYTHING. Yeah, right. I have more general knowledge of the agency and how our wheel fits into the cog than they do-that is what gets them. And really help them if I know something that is outside of the job. Might think that the building was going to fall down. Some are fine, but the majority are pains. I will grin and bear it. My manager will get a full report of my feelings and proposals on some items. But mainly I will stay in charge of what I plan on doing with the rest of my career. Six years is not a long time and it is my time to plan. I can do this for that time. I would love to get one of the hight paying jobs, but until I get the full training for this one, I doubt it will come to pass. (even if I were to get the higher paying job, after 3years at the higher grade I would be at retirement age-I would probably leave unless job was really enjoyable!)

On the home front, we are going for a kitty kat Saturday-we checked the pictures at the shelter, and for the first time ever, I wished for 1 to not be adopted until I get there. She is mainly white with a black nose, ears, and part of her face, and her name is Betsey. She looks like a "Heaven's to Betsey" type of cat. We have already bought a carrier, litterbox, food bowl, water bowl-one of the ones that auto fills, toys, bed with katnip-though that is not where I will be using the katnip(why on the bed-play time!) and a pink collar with bell. Hubby chose the collar-I was rooting for turquoise. I think the bell will go quikly. I couldn't find a harness/leash at Wally world so we will need to go to Petsmart to finish up. The food and litter will be bought locally. I really hope she's still there. I think that she will be spoiled!!! Teri, remember 'Pache? This one had the same look about her even if the coloring is not quite the same. She had the same triangle face-almost Siamese-ish. Pretty eyes!!

Hubby and I still working through some issues. But things going smoother since we are talking it out right away-not letting the other say 'nothing' when we can see that there is a problem. funny thing how it works. Life is a lot more peaceful!!

While on shopping trip for kitty kat, also bought more yarn for TOL afghan. Instead of light gray(couldn't find) went with a dark gray Simply Soft yarn to border the Black trees. I think it will even look better. Wally word we went to is a new one and is becoming a super wally. I didn't know it but not too far away from there is a Michaels. We went to an OLive Garden to eat. Hadn't been there in ages. Ate half of the meal then, half for lunch today. Way too much food. Got to go.
