Addicted?

Can someone be addicted to reading? I mean, if there are no new books around I am fine, sometimes twitchy, but maintain with no problem. I do get more involved in tv at those times-for serious conversations, tv goes off. Hubby bought me 4 Betty Neels books (Harlequins-hour long reads hour and a half at most) and the newest Nora Roberts book on Tuesday-he left work early and the Borders closest to work is closing. He went to pick up a book for GD. Well, I have already read all the paperbacks and am half way through the Nora Roberts book. All I want to do is read. It is like a candy dish to a kid. And it seems like I have the same amount of self control. he did complain about it last night while we were getting ready for bed. And I did mention that it had been quite a while since I had really read like that. But why can't I seem to control it. One hour of reading isn't enough....It's like the old potatoe chip commercial-one is not enough.

Then he did hit below the belt with 'I bought those even though we really couldn't afford them' I didn't even ask for them-he did text me to ask if there were any books I wanted, I did say Betty Neels, he asked about Nora Roberts "Searches" ; am I to say no?

We didn't argue exactly, but it left me thinking-what is wrong-then he mentioned that we didn't have our down time. Yes we did, he is the one who put the movie back on-he had Star Trek (the new one)on pause when I got home.

But I do think I know what part of the problem is. It is back to the attention thing. I wasn't paying enough attention to him over the last two nights-I was reading, not watching tv with him-not paying attention to him. but is that it, or do I read too much?
