The trip itself was a learning experience. Dh found out that I was right-we should have planned on a hotel room-but he didn't want to hurt dd feelings-never mind about my health. Two serious smokers and my asthma, not to mention no real privacy-didn't even have a door to our "bedroom" this time and only working bedroom was through our bedroom-really great when dd and gd and sil had to use it before 6am to get ready for their day!! DH agrees-next time we get hotel, Even DD agrees that their new 2bedroom is not large enough to hold us when we visit. Finally, mom does know what she's talking about.

I did get confirmation that DH behavior is not in my head. Hubby asked me to get a bag with our music cd's in it. I went to hand him a cd from it along with the bag and he snapped at me. When he did that, DD heard him and made a comment. He didn't understand what the fuss was about. Later on, sil told me that DD remembers dad being angry and mean most of her life until brain surgery. I didn't know that. OOPs I guess more came out than I knew. She knows she was loved, but I never knew she saw her dad as mean before.
