It's going to kill me

I am really trying to do my homework. Again the frogging!! Now it was joining the two epaulet shoulders. After I learned how to pickup stitches along the side, (thank goodness for crochet hook!), then a different cast on for across the front, the pickup more stitches-ok till that point. Then I had to increase on the next row. Not a simple make one by knitting into the back and front of a stitch, not a simple yarn over, not for this pattern. Nooo-you knit into the front of the stitch one row down. And you do this after you knit 2 stitches or knit 3 stitches alternately. (pattern read:Knit 2, increase 1, knit 3 increase 1-only designer used different wording for increase). And you end up with a certain number of stitches for the size you are making -for this sweater it was 147. After 2 tries it was correct. YEAH! Then she refers you to a chart for the front yoke. But the chart doesn't read for the number of stitches, OOPS! Just realized that I was reading pattern wrong. I read it wrong about 10 times last night and at least 3 times this morning. The number of stitches she was refering to increases 4 sections of the graph-UGH!! At least I don't have to frog it again!!!!!! Oh well, my error. Glad I found it-now I can knit it out during lunch.

On the writing front: since I have to cover for 2 secretaries this month, I have been working on one of my stories. The story seems to flow fairly easily, but I am not trying to number chapters etc. So far, 14 pages single space. Getting to have fun with it.

DH is getting a cold, poor baby. Me, I just am not caught up with Daylight Savings. I wish they would just stay with one time and stop going back and forth!!

All is quiet on the work front. I am dragging myself into work-I would rather be home knitting (now that I have figured out the pattern). Yes, I did look at it during work hours. I am caught up on my work.
