2011-06-01 1:06 PM Smoother Sailing Actually, if I stopped getting virusus it would be very smooth sailing. I was out sick againg yesterday, So I missed all of you. I am here today, even though I was almost as nauseaus today. But, I had a breakfast to attend with the other Secretarys and it was cooked for us by our Director (2 levels up) and her senior operations manager. So, my breakfast wasn't the most healthy thing in the world. In fact, I never had this item before, and it settled my stomach remarkably well-waffles (homemade) and ice cream- vanilla bean (Hagan-Das), and some fresh fruit salad.
It was a pleasant meeting. We get to know each other better and listen to the Director's concerns in a more relaxed setting. We found out about each other's sense of humor, and had the only 2 gentlemen there blushing. Once we had the first go around introducing ourselves. The Dir. had us state a fact about ourselves that people didn't know. One women-extremely heavy set said that she was a part time stripper! Had us laughing, had the Senior operations manager (male) blushing real bad! Of course we kept the running joke up. This secretary also crochets and that is what she really was going to say. But she has a wicked sense of humor!! (I did mention that she can crochet her stripping costume!) No story review today-I haven't read the next one yet. I will be doing that this afternoon. And reviewing it tomorrow. This is the month of June, so once again I am playing musical chairs! I am up at the Directors office all day tomorrow while 2 Secretaries are in training! It will be interesting to see what happens during staff meeting since I am up here!! Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
