2011-08-08 11:42 AM Back flashes Ever have a time when things from your childhood start flashing into your memory? Things that you have forgotten about? Good and not so good happenings have been flashing and I am finding it a little disconcerting. Not to mention upsetting when it is a not so pleasant memory. The happy memories are more than welcome to come. I can do without the others, thank you very much!!
A good thing that is coming from this is that DH and I are talking about it. He knows that my childhood could have been better, but it seems that I know more about his childhood than he knows about mine. So, when the flashbacks/memories happen, we talk about them. He is learning to tell when they happen because my behavior changes. I usually do or say something to him that is unusual. This weekend it was make him eat more than he wanted-my flashback had to deal with NOT being allowed to eat enough and being hungry. So he is helping and agrees that T does need to get involved-just can't seem to get a hold of one. I am just finding it funny that these flashbacks are coming so hot and heavy now. I really don't want them!! And I really don't want to treat my DH badly because of them! Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
