2011-09-23 11:39 AM UNDERSTANDING HISTORY Ok, lost my whole entry. This happened yesterday to, on a different computer. Oh well, I was on a great rant.
Watched the movie "Annie" last night. Brought to mind something TT wrote on Rhubarb's journal about putting people to work on the highways etc, similar to the old WPA programs. Pres. Obama proposed doing that. Republicans do not want to do that because it will cost. Well, guess what folks, everything costs. At least this is not a handout. This will allow folks to EARN money to support their families, buy things that are needed, which will help other people work-and the catch 22 works for positive instead of negative. And more money is collected for taxes. Hey, everyone wins. Except the GOP who didn't think of the idea! Or The Tea Party. It just came from someone who they don't like so it automatically is no good. I know next year the GOP will win the presidential election unless they nominate a total d22khead. Sorry for the language. I am disappointed in our country. This is the second time since I became and adult that someone who knew how to compromise and was willing to work non-partisian for the good of the country was chewed up and spit out. It was not lack of backbone-it was his backbone that made him stand up to his party and the GOP. Same as Pres. Carter. History has repeated itself. Back then I didn't understand what and why things where happening that way. Now I do. ONE. WORD. GREED. Not capitalism. GREED. Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
