Calm and Strong and Winning

Hmmm.

This weekend was different. DH was trying to ignore the elephant in the room. My 'inflexibility' over my statements. His words. We made plans and went to breakfast on Saturday-left the apartment around 10:30 or so, maybe a little later. I think we left IHOP at 4. We talked and argued. Talked and talked and talked. He said he wanted to be out to enjoy the nice day with his beautiful wife, not argue. But it had to all come out. And it did. And it did.

And you know what-I should have done this years ago. I was calm, and so was he. The resolve stayed. This was for me, and in the long run it will be better for the both of us. Because I didn't waiver and things got settled, the rest of the weekend went alot smoother than ever. We actually enjoyed the rest of the 3day weekend. No fights, no tears. NO UPSET STOMACHS!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even the cat let him pat her alot, and let him feed her. And yesterday we did laundry together with no problem-well there is a problem, but not a personality problem.

His wheelchair has a flat tire-or a tire that is going flat. I swear, that chair is causing more problems than a car does! We are going out and about more, so it is getting alot of wear and tear. Now he is walking to work on his canes. He can't work from home because there is a computer glitch that is causing him to loose emails that he saves in folders-they are coming up missing between the his desktop at work and laptop at home. They know it is the computer system that it is doing it.

Life goes on. Who knows, doing this walking may be the best thing for my DH. When we were in IL, he had to walk and yes, it did hurt some, but his legs were oh so much better.
He has been losing weight and this may help him. Afterall, sitting all day is not good for anyone. and it cannot help his neuropathy not to move his legs. I just have to slow my walking pace to match his.
