2011-12-21 2:40 PM Whew! Well, tomorrow I don't have to split myself in half and try to cover two sets of phones. I just have to cover one. It will be a slow day. It is countdown to the holiday and the hallways are starting to get bare.
I have prepared the reqs for supply orders. Now a new procedure that makes them go through Division Chief and another head before they can go through normal processing. Oh, boy, what a mess. They did this last year too, and it didn't last long!! Major projects ramping down for the holidays, planning for the next year starting. Spoke to my manager about feeling isolated from my unit-I don't sit near to anyone at all, and although I get along with the people I sit near, the camaraderie is missing. That would help. So we will see if something changes. I tried to tell old boss that and nothing was done. The supply room is now becoming a conference room and the conference room on the 6th floor is becoming our supply room. Uh, we are on the 1st floor annex, conference room is in the main hallway-although they are moving a couple of cabinets into a work area that will allow people better access. But still out of the way. This will happen in January. And in January, once a day, in the afternoon, I will be checking on forms in the Lobby again. Fun. At least management is evening out the workload this year so it shouldn't be too bad. No kiosk to worry about, and the planning seems to be better. Oh well, not asked just told that I would be doing it again. Hmmm. really like that. (wasn't told by my manager-the person in charge of the area just sent an email to the two of us that will be doing it daily, my manager would have asked-knowing that the answer would be yes, of course I will do it.) Oh well, I will argue for supplies in different area, though I expect to loose that discussion. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
