Got It!

Yup, got a whoozy of a cold. Was runny a fever by the time I got home Monday. Though we got snow here on Monday-didn't stick and rain was mixed in. I have learned my lessons from the past-no cold/flu medicines so no upset stomach. B did get me some zinc tablets that I suck on. They seem to help some, that and tea. And lots of soup. I did find this morning that I felt better outside in the cold fresh air than in the warm air but I can't work outside. But only 1 day out sick instead of the 2-3 that these things have been causing. B has it now. TT, I can't use sanitzers on my hands because they dry out my skin too much and eczema reaction. I do try to wash my hands often, but doesn't always work. I do know that this bug is making its way around the office and the division secretary came to work ill last week. She was hot and cold all day when her office wasn't cold at all. Oh, well, its over with anyway.

I am still achy, but its managable. I am glad that this is a 3day weekend for us. Its Martin Luther King day on Monday. And it is the last of our 'holidays' until Memorial Day. Its funny, From September through January we have at least 1 three day weekend a month. Then we have no official holidays until the end of May. It looks like a long dry spell on the leave tracker I have.

Oh, my favorite tea is a Celestial Seasonings 'Madagascar Vanilla Red' caffeine free rooibos tea. I have just made myself a cup. Heaven. It seems to help the cold symptoms. The last time we were at Target they had a few boxes. I was greedy and bought them out. B has learned to keep an eye out for the brand and flavor. The flavor in other brands just don't taste the same. I do need to get myself a small electric tea kettle though. Heating water in the microwave just doesn't do the trick!
