2012-01-19 7:13 AM 15%?! I wish I paid that low a percentage of tax on my income. And then he also has accounts in the Cayman Islands-and he says it is a legal investment. Uh, EXTREMELY FEW of those investments are legal.
Our income tax bracket is 28% and we don't have investments (except when we manage to rent out the house in IL). Our income combined is nowhere as high as the Rebulican from MA. So figure it out. We get taxed on about all of our income-its all wages and we pay for it. Yes, we do make good income combined and most of it is B's. (Mine is nowwhere as high as his.) We both work for the government, we both have to follow certain rules and are hog tied about certain things and heaven help if we make any Caymen Island investments. We lose our jobs! Now, do you want someone in office who does not pay his fair share of the support of your country? At this point, it does not matter if he is Democrat, Republican, or Vulcan, He does not support his country proportionally to what I do. Investments in the Caymens is not something a politician should EVER have, and 15% tax rate is something that makes me cringe. If his rate is that low, what is he doing? What is his income?
