Lyn has me more and more convinced that I want to move to New Zealand when I finally sell something. It is cheaper to live there, my income would go farther. i could actually live on my writing and editing money alone. It is a saner environment. Here I am an outcast, there I would simply be an eccentric. Substantial difference. Mainly, no one would be throwing rocks at me in New Zealand. I am very seriously considering putting money away to move on. I have thought about it off and on for a year.

I sit here holding my koru and thinking, yeah. It would be a nice place to be a writer. I wonder if I could wear traditional Maori garments?

My describer's Dictionary (David Grambs) arrived and it is a delightful book to dig through. I have started my final (I hope) edit go through on Fathers. And then I need to get more paper and ink, do a print out and comb through for typoes. 750 pages.
ouch. an editor friend says the more I cut, the more it grows.
