The kid sent the prologue to the game text and I have to say he has impressed me. His dialogue is sharp. It's been two years since we actually worked on his Trish and Sarah stories which I wish he would start submitting (he says he will, but never gets around to). He was learning fast even then. I rarely had to show him how to do anything twice. In a sense, I'm learning. Descriptive passages are written with an eye to storyboarding and while you have sections that are scenes, you also have conversation boxes that are click ons. I'm a computer gamer, and long time player, but the complexity of writing one is interesting. So I'm simultaneously (because David wants to do it this way) writing a novelization, a presentation, and the bible. Lovely. But we're doing it together. David is as ambitious as I was at his age. And he wants to cover all his bases. Be able to turn in any direction that looks ready to pay off and run after it. He's already spent a huge chunk of his life learning the skills. He'll be 21 in January, but became obsessed with it at nine and began teaching himself to program. And kept at it, got himself a dream and worked at it. Still working.
