Cussedness

My sword and sorcery stories about Chimquar, which appeared in the 70s and 80s, although few in number were highly regarded. They were recently reprinted by Wildside Press as In The Darkness, Hunting. Chimquar is set in the same world as my novels. So, by extension, I believe to quote from other’s reaction to Chimquar is to establish the worth of my novels as well.

When the stories came out, they had only two predecessors in the genre as protagonists: C. L. Moore's Jirel of Joiry and Joanna Russ's Alyx stories. Before that there were two fighting female sidekicks, Howard's Belit and Valeria. The DAW anthology Amazons! was ground-breaking.
